I am trying to help my elderly mother in law who is on a tight budget. Her GE microwave is just over a year old and quit, she did have total loss of electricity to it but a breaker had been thrown. Corrected that reset clock, light came on and timer will work it just will not start. I have read other forums and it suggested door switch problems. I have removed panel and got to the switches, problem now is I have a multimeter but don't quite understand how to read it. I am definitely getting different readings. I have tried to find a replacement switch but can't find one with the same number SZM-V16 FA-63 Any help would be appreciated.
