Hi,
I have a whirlpool estate dryer, model# YEED4400WQ0 and it is not heating nor is the timer advancing. it starts and tumbles fine.
i've checked the thermal fuse, the high limit thermostat, and the cycling thermostat. they all have continuity. i'm presuming the only thing left is the timer?
any suggestions are appreciated.
thank you.

Probably a bad motor switch. This switch is an integral part of the motor and is not available alone. The motor in this dryer was sourced from China and those motors have been problematic. Check the voltage across the two red wires at the motor connector while motor is running. If you read about 240vac, the switch is bad. The replacement motor is not Chinese made.
