When start button is pressed, there is a click/buzz and the machine goes black. The readout then flashes PF twice. When I check the diagnostic mode, it shows 8:88 and no error codes. If I hit the Cycle Signal button it goes black just like when the start button is pressed.
I recently went through all the steps on the Service Technicians manual and determined the Machine Control Board was bad. I replaced the Machine Control Board and it worked for the past month until it started doing the same thing-- going black when the Start button is pressed.
I'm definitely an amateur at this and could use some suggestions. These Machine Control Boards are not cheap! Thanks in advance.

OK, how about rephrasing the problem... What would cause the Electronic Control Board to go bad? Is there another part I should check that is overloading the Board? Is there another part that would mislead the diagnosis and indicate the Board, when it's not the Board that's bad?
