checked for clogged inlet screens, power. unit will spin once to sense load then it quits, lid lock unlocks for about 30 seconds then relocks but lid lock light flashes. drum seems to spin freely. my sister said it was making noise before this problem. would a bad coupler make the washer think its out of balance? does not have self diagnostics as far as i can tell. unable to find service manual also. checked everything in owners manual.

Replace the shift actuator. Tech sheet with instructions for running diagnostics is up inside the cabinet.
