Yea it does--if by "ice gate" you mean the mouth where the ice comes out.

Is there more to the manual? I don't know how to remove the entire motor compartment as shown in the pic to get to the wire harness

I'm also getting the same error code, two quick blinks, pause, and repeat for a Kenmore Coldspot Model # 106.53669300. The water fills the tray, it freezes, but it never harvests into the bin.

Did you press the emitter flapper door to unblock the optics beam before checking the LED?
