Recently our almost 7 year old Frigidaire/Electrolux Professional Series dishwasher has been getting noisier and noisier when it runs (winding noise). All of a sudden, when I went to wash a load of dishes, it will filled with water, but the motor did not run. It seems like it goes through the cycles, then drains, etc., even the heating element heats up. I replaced the motor, but still does the same thing. Any ideas on what I should try next? Thanks.

Check across the motor for voltage when it should be washing.
If there is voltage then you have either a bad motor or it is jammed for some reason.

If there is no voltage the odds are that the control board is toast.
