Hello,
I have a couple of issues. I just replaced the Hi limit thermostat in my dryer last night and it was working perfectly until this morning. All vents have been cleaned of any obstruction. I put the dryer together and tested it with the vent hose disconnected to check the heating temperature (which shut off at about 175).
My first issue is as soon as the dryer hit the 150 range it started to make an awful rattling noise in the area of the motor. Once the temperature dropped below 140 the noise subsided.
My second issue is what keeps tripping the high limit thermostat? This is a brand new one. Should I replace the other thermostat as well?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
