My washer will fill, agitate and drain......then it fills for the rinse/spin cycle, drains, but does not spin. There is a sucking sound like it is constantly draining after the water is drained in the rinse/spin cycle. Can't afford a new one......Someone help!!!!

My washer will not spin. It will go through all the cycles then the final spin does not work. I also noticed the fabric softener was still in the tray, it never released. probably because the spin cycle is broken.
