Whirlpool model #LSQ9549PW2. I am in the process of installing a new Short Cam Agitator Repair Kit Part Number AP3094543 and Thrust Spacer Washer Part Number 3951608. I noticed on the description -Whirlpool recommends using a small amount of grease with this kit (if no grease is present on the old thrust washer).

Is there any other kind of grease I could use instead of the Agitator Grease
and where should it be applied?

The grease is for the thrust washer but your kit does not come with a new thrust washer. That washer sits on top of the lower agitator and the grease goes on the top surface of it if there isn't any there already. You can use silicone grease as a substitute.

Can I just use any old silicone grease to lubricate the top of the thrust washer? I have a tube of MOTORCRAFT Silicone Brake Caliper Grease and Dielectric Compound available or should I use something like this instead?Super Lube 3 oz. Tube Silicone Lubricating Grease with Syncolon (PTFE)-92003 at The Home Depot
