The grease is for the thrust washer but your kit does not come with a new thrust washer. That washer sits on top of the lower agitator and the grease goes on the top surface of it if there isn't any there already. You can use silicone grease as a substitute.

Eric Can I just use any old silicone grease to lubricate the top of the thrust washer? I have a tube of MOTORCRAFT Silicone Brake Caliper Grease and Dielectric Compound available or should I use something like this instead? Super Lube 3 oz. Tube Silicone Lubricating Grease with Syncolon (PTFE)-92003 at The Home Depot
