Hi,
I have a Frigidaire PLHS239ZCB1 side by side refrigerator that has not been moved. Yesterday is suddenly stopped cooling, the ice in the ice box started melting and all the frozen food got soft. Both sides were not cooling a all. Everything seems to be working fine except the compressor. All lights are working, water dispenser is working (not cold though), Condenser motor is always on (I changed this earlier this year when the original motor would not turn). I have tried to turn off the unit for a few hours and then turned it on, played around with the temperature setting knobs (can't find any way of adjusting the defrost timer, I think its digital). There is no noise or vibration coming from the compressor and it is cool to touch (minimal vibration on the compressor when I touch my hand, maybe from other components).

I have removed the relay and plug kit. Tested for volts coming into the 3 pins. One pair shows 120V, another pair shows 122V.

The capacitor was tested with a digital ohmmeter and and it moved from a high negative number to positive infinity in about 3-5 sec.

I'm not getting a very stable ohm reading on the winding on the compressor, it is low 3-14 but it keeps bouncing around when I check all 3 pairs possible.

Any help will be appreciated.
