I have an older Norge side by side #GS24Y8D. My problem is that it goes through a cooling cycle, stops, and does not always restart. I can adjust the temperature dial on the fridge side and the cooling cycle will begin and both fridge and freezer will cool to normal, but again once it stops it does not always restart.
Hoping for some direction as to what part\parts I should be replacing.

Here are your parts.
Parts for GS24Y8D - AppliancePartsPros.com

You seem to be missing the last digit so will have to choose the correct unit in the Matching Model Number section.

Since just moving the temperature thermostat (item 1 in section 3) gets the unit going I would replace it.

Note that it is not uncommon for these ti fail in this manner.

Thanks for the reply, denman. I think you're right about the model number, but it's the only number on the fridge. It is printed in large letters on a schematic on the back of the fridge.
It looks like the three models listed (DA, DB, DV) use the same Temperature Control (#AP4067399) so I hope I will be okay ordering one of these.
