L/H front and R/H rear ignitors fire about 7 times out of 50 system discharge cycles. Very dangerous. Valves are opening and easily lit with a lighter. Do I replace the ignitors or the ignition module?

Remove the diffusers and make sure they're clean. Then, clean the igniter electrodes with a wire brush. If that doesn't do the job, replace the igniters.

The smaller cover plates over the burner. Sometimes they get dirty and deflect the gas away from the igniters.

Thanks, I was not sure what you meant. As stated in my first question, the L/H Fwd and R/H rear ignitors are sparking sporadically. This is verified by visual observance.(The other two work perfect). I have cleaned the tips with a red Scotchbrite pad and it made no difference. Once lit by a lighter and used for a while, I can turn it off and it will start much sooner, but not like it should. What do you think?

Either eroding igniters or failing spark module.

Do the L/H fwd and the R/H rear ignitors share the same output from the ignition module? If they get their charge separate (4 outputs), I will try ignitors. If the module is split for dual outputs (2+2), I will try a module. Do you agree?

What I would do is swap them with the two that you know work well. If you experience the same problem, the trouble is in the module. If they work, the problem is the igniters. This is a little bit of work, but it will save you from needless purchase of parts.
