My wife was washing when the washer lost power. The dryer works. I need help to troubleshoot the problem. I have a multimeter to trace the circuits. I removed the panel above the washer door, can see a wiring harness that comes from below to the switch that controls the cycles. Not sure what other panels I need to remove to access the pump & other components below.The back panels seems complicated to remove, so I'm assuming the front panels & the top of the washer. Which component usually is the one to break down first? I live in a remote area so usually have to do things myself. Never really worked on a stackable before, but I am handy. Any help on this would be much apprieciated. Thanks

Nothing happens when I move the knob to any washer setting,no water or anything. Seems like it is getting no power, but the dryer is working. thanks for the reply.

I have a connector before the motor that has from Lt to RT-Pur,Gray,Blk with Wht stripe,Grn,Orange,Red,Blk with Red Stripe. The bottom of the connector goes to the motor, which has: white,Brn,Blue, white with orange stripe& a red wire that also is from Lt to RT. on the pump motor there is a connector that plugs into motor, it has a Red with white stripe & a black wire.
I connected a jumper wire to the white common wire where the plug connects to the connector terminal. I then set my multimeter to 120AC & connected the junper wire to the com lead on the multimeter & tested all the wires with the red lead & could not get any voltage from any wire. I tried this on the dryer while running & got 119.8 volts. So I'm assuming there must be a main wire that has a bad connection, but I could be wrong. Any ideas on this. Thanks once again.

I looked at the connector, there is a metal bracket with numbers. There is a notch cut out in the metal bracket, the last number on the left side of the notch is 2 which is a gray wire. So 3 does not have a number because of the notch but the wire next to the gray wire should be 3 & that is a Black wire with a white stripe.& beside that wire is a green wire. Anyhow I connected the multimeter to 200ac,the black lead to a ground & the red lead to the black wire with a white stripe & I had no voltage. So I'm thinking there is no power coming in from this wire. So what is this telling me. Any ideas what this is telling me. Thanks once again for the advice.

I checked the continuity from the M3 (black/white stripe) to a connector that goes to the timer,water level & temp control knobs. i get continuity to that connector. My wife threw out her mirror so I could not see where it went from the connector. Now is there a trick to pull off the knobs & the face plate if I need to access it from there?
