A repair person told me that there are thin stainless pieces that go on either side of the burner cooktop area and one in the middle to keep crud from falling below. Apparently the installers pitched them. On your site I have found what I think are the correct items, called 'panel inserts' (part numbers AP2828580 and AP2828581) but I am unable to tell if these are the correct parts, and if so, which part is for the side and which one is for the middle. The online help was not helpful and I can't find a diagram that shows these parts. Can you assist? Thanks!

Not only do they not match the stainless finish but they will discolor over time. I'm sure the original cooktop did not come with aluminum pieces. They are going back.
