Clicking noise coming from fridge. I hear a click, then the compressor runs for about 5 seconds, then clicks back off. Repeat in about 1 minute. Everything else seems ok..fans running, food cold, coils clean, etc..

I am about to order the Compressor Starting Device Kit

  • Part Number: AP3885081
  • MFG Part Number: 8201786
Am I on the right track?? Thanks!!

I believe you are right on the money! It is usually easily verified by removing the relay from the compressor and shaking it. When they fail, they will usually rattle heavily when shaken.
