When programming the oven for bake, the starting temp is reading 177deg if you push start the display then reads low and the oven starts to heat, but if you try to enter a temperature 350 then hit start is says ERR, the service paper inside doesn't list this error. It doesn't have a self diagnosis. Any ideas ? The bake and broil elements do come on. No other error codes come up.

The ERR displayed simply means that there is an error in the control. If there is no specific error, like F3, it is likely an issue with the control itself. Turn the breaker off for at least 15 minutes and see if it will then allow it to be programmed. Let me know what happens after the power cycle.

Found out today the ERR message is caused by the temperature being displayed in Celsius ! So by holding the broil /maxi/econo button for 5 sec. It switches back to Fahrenheit and no more err !

Rereading your original post, I should have caught that. The default bake temperature is 350* F. I totally missed it. My apologies, thank you for the update.
