GE clothes dryer - model DBLR333EE0CC. The start button has to stay pressed in (by laying something heavy against it) for the dryer to run. It will shut off when it is at the end of the cycle like it is supposed to. The start switch itself is fine.
I got this used, so I'm not really sure how old it is. It appears to be in good shape otherwise.
Thanks!

The motor has a centrifugal switch that should be switching the power from the start winding to the run winding to keep the motor running. If it is not doing that, the switch may be obstructed by lint or the switch is faulty. That switch is part of the motor assembly, so replacement of the motor would be necessary. If you can access the motor and it appears clean and not full of lint, the motor is likely going to need to be replaced. The correct motor for your model is available at the link below. There is also a video at that link showing how to access the motor for inspection and replacement.
