The machine does it cycle but it leaves a lot of water in the bottom. I press the drain button but it just makes a sound like its draining but its not.

How is the drain hose attached to your home's plumbing? Do you have an air gap at the top of the sink, a garbage disposal?

I have a garbage disposal sink1 and that drains water no problem....the other sink2 drains also no problem...it looks like theres a hose connected from the dishwasher to something to the top of the sink2 (its white and covered with cap)...does that make sense?

Yes, that is the air gap. Can you remove that cap and then you will see another plastic cap. Once removed, you should see a plastic tube. Is that tube plugged with debris?

Okay, so there must be a blockage before the drain hose gets to the air gap, nice job. Is the filter and the area under the filter clean?

Okay, does the hose from the air gap lead to the disposal? Has the disposal been replaced recently?

The disposal has not been replaced lately. It looks like theres a white tube from the air gap that connects to the dishwasher and another black hose that connects to the disposal.

I used a plunger just now on both sinks and it seems to be draining now..not entirely drain but theres less water buildup after a cycle. I have to push the drain button twice before all the water goes away...
