Trying to remove inner shell of GE Profile Convection wall oven. Have everything done except I cannot figure out how to disconnect the halogen lamp assembly so I can complete process. No apparent place to disconnect the wiring from the ceramic socket. Please help.

Hi, the wires are part of the socket assembly and are terminated about 4" above the socket in a Molex style quick disconnect. It will simply unplug from the other half of the connector, allowing full removal. That assembly is pictured at the link below. GE WB25T10030 Lamp Halogen Asm - AppliancePartsPros.com

Was hoping to disconnect without removing entire oven but tonight I went ahead and did it. Now that I have the new inner shell back in I may replace that assembly as one of the wires going into the socket does not have a very strong connection. Pretty cheap manufacturing in my opinion.

I tend to agree with you and would also replace it as it is not real expensive but could be a real trouble spot if you have to disassemble it again to repair it. Glad you got it figured out, well done!
