My hood fan has a weird problem. it take about 45 minutes before starting.
Once it starts running, all the controls are fine ON/OFF speed 1,2,3 work great. But if I let it OFF for some time, the problem appears again.
I already tried many things, the fan is not hard to move, it does not help to turn it ON and give it a spin.
The circuit is quite simple, switches (tested ok), motor run cap 4uf (replaced without success), a res, a small cap (also replaced), wires.
I tested the AC voltage at the cap when ON but not running: 140, once started, at the same settings the voltage was now 180, I reduced the speed to min and the voltage was now at 80.
I am puzzled.
