Our Kenmore Elite DW started leaking water. The repairman came out and replaced the pump. That night I started a load of dishes. The next morning the DW was still running. The motor was constantly running and there was a smell of heat or something getting hot. He came back and said it was the sensor and he dried the pan ( I think what he said). He left with the DW running. Again, the motor wouldn't turn off and this time there is a little water leaking. He came back and said the heater motor needs replaced now. He said it is getting too hot and causing the casing or ring to leak water, or something like that. The motor was not running like this prior to the pump being replaced. I'm not sure if I should trust this guy or if he accidentally did something that caused the heater to malfunction. Do these two problems typically go together? Pump and heater motor needing replaced?

Your repairman botched the job or put in bad parts to begin with or misdiagnosed it........he should of never left your house with your unit running hot and not shutting off without disabling it. Call the owner of this place or another company.
