Hello, A few false connections were found in the main control board wiring and evaporator fan motor wiring of a 15-month old side-by-side refrigerator and they have been repaired. It is now working, but it beeps 5 times every 60 seconds. I don't have the user's manual, but it is probably telling me a fault/error code. Please advise if you know anything about this. Thank you and God bless you! Miguel

Hello, Sorry for not responding earlier. The beeping did last only a couple of hours. The appliance was plugged in for a few days, but it did not stop. The freezer temperatures were: -24, 16.6, 18.4. The fresh food section gave the following temperatures: 30, 32.2 I would like to check the thermistors because they could be bad. Does anybody know how to check them? The thermistor for the fresh food section has manufacturing part number 241608401 and the freezer section has thermistor with mfg. p/n 241608501. Any information is very much appreciated!

The thermistors will measure 29Kohm at 36 degrees and 10Kohm at room temperature 77 degrees.

Then both thermistors are good for the readings are 9.93kohm and 9.99kohm for the REFRIGERATOR touch pad and FREEZER touch pad respectively @ 77°F. The only problem is that 3 or 4 days after it was plugged in the compressor never stopped only during defrost because no frost deposits were ever found on the freezer back panel. Anybody can give any idea?

If the freezer temperature is -24 degrees, the freezer thermistor resistance must be well below 29 Kohm.

I checked the thermistors again and the readings at 78°F were 10.13kohm and 10.06kohm for the refrigerator and freezer respectively. Any idea what could be the problem?

The resistance readings are normal for fridg and freezer at room temperature.
