My Maytag dryer stopped heating and I knew it was the heating element because I had this happen to another Maytag before, so I ordered the part from you all and it was shipped with the Thermostat. I am 62 and have a daughter who took out the heating element and old thermostat and when the new parts were received she replaced them...we turned the electric back on and the dryer ran perfectly for about 5 minutes and then just quit-everything quit...not even the button on the top can be pushed in-nothing on it works now...the question I'm going to ask is can you help and if so should we attempt to repair ourselves (again) or should I just ship the part back and order a new dryer which I truly can't afford. Also I can't afford to keep ordering parts and shipping them back. I live on widows benefits and money is an issue. Thank you for all your help ahead of time.

The first thing I would do in such situation is check the circuit breakers for the dryer.
