I ran the dishwasher on Normal Cycle, Air Dry, High Temp Wash like I normally do. After a couple of hours, I came back to check on it, manually shake the water off everything, and prop the door open. The green Clean LED was lit, but when I opened the door, the basin was still full of somewhat mucky water. I tried pressing the control buttons to get the water to drain and nothing would come on although the LED for each key would light. I checked the Thermal Fuse and it was okay (had continuity) and the door switches (they also had continuity when the latch was moved to the proper position). I can hear relays making inside the door when I press the control buttons so I'm skeptical that replacing the electronic control module will help. Any ideas as to what could be wrong?

Here are your parts Parts for Whirlpool DU940QWDB3 Dishwasher - AppliancePartsPros.comSee the attachment for the tech sheet. You could check the motor windings for continuity/resistance. Also check them to ground. Check that the wiring from the board to the motor has continuity. If all OK then I would say that the board is shot which is fairly expensive and may not be worth replacing unless the unit is in very good shape. |
