My Whirlpool Duet drying is kicking out heat, but the clothes are not drying. The vents are clean and attached correct. There was humidity in the LED display. The dryer was extremely hot when we opened the door. There is also no air coming out the end of the vent. But a lot of hot air coming out the back of the dryer. Everything else on the dryer seems to be working, but seems to me to not have enough power to blow the hot air out. Could it be a fan?

Despite what you have reported it seems that your vent to the outside is obstructed. If you want confirmation, operate the dryer with the vent pipe to the outside detached, and if it dries your clothes in the proper time you will need to clean out the vent.

Unless you are venting up a goodly distance if the airflow out the back is strong you should be fine if the vent to the outside is free.
