This is a stand alone portable whirlpool dishwasher purchased new. Clean light started flashing 7 times about two weeks ago and it wouldn't run a washing cycle. I ran continuity test on the element and it was definitely bad so ordered a new one that I tested then installed. The clean light is still blinking and I have pushed three buttons in succession three times as per the tech sheet provided by "AppliancePartsPros.com". (there wasn't one in the bag on the panel where it was supposed to be and this is the first time I have had any trouble so have had no reason to remove it.) Nothing happens, I have tried it over and over unplugging it in between, using different keys reversing the order and nothing. Does anyone know what to do? I need to reset the panel.

So got tired of waiting around for an answer and finally got it to go into diagnostic cycle. Here are the instructions from the tech sheet. I followed them but they didn't work. This Dishwasher has a 5 button panel The first button moves through 5 types of wash: "Pot/Pans, Normal, ECO, 1Hr Wash, Rinse only." The Second button chooses: "High temp, Heated Dry or neither." The Third is: "4 hour delay, Lock." The Fourth is: " Start/Resume" and the Fifth is: "Cancel/Drain.
I started playing around with different patterns, the problem is I can't remember what worked exactly. I had the door open, and I had tried pressing buttons 1,2,3 x3---2,3,4 x3--- 3,4,5,x3 finally I think I pushed 1,1,1 a total of 9 times with the door open and I think that is what did it. My dishwasher is running again. I hope this will help someone else, I couldn't have done what I did without people that took the time to post here, on youtube, and so many other places that I got the information that I did. And to the good people of ApplaincePartPros that answered my email and gave me a tech sheet that the manufacturer failed to send with the dishwasher.
SERVICE DIAGNOSTICS CYCLE NOTES NOTE 1. To invoke the Diagnostics Cycle, perform the following while in standby: Press any 3 keys in a sequence of 1-2-3 and then repeating this selected sequence 2 more times. This gives a total of 9 key presses. The complete key sequence must be entered with no more than a 1.OS period between any 2 key presses. A minimum of a 1.OS period with no key presses must precede the start of the key sequence. To rapid advance 1 interval at a time: press the START/RESUME key. Special note: While in the diagnostics cycle, the STAR/RESUME feature is turned off (ie: Auto Resume after door interupts) and the START/RESUME becomes an interval advance key. Invoking Service Diagnostics clears all status and last ran information from memory and restores defaults. Last ran Cylces and Options return to default (Normal cycle with heated dry option) Last ran delay returns to the lowest delay increment. Operating state returns to standby upon completing or terminating the service dignostics cycle. NOTE 2. Turn on all LEDs immediately upon receiving entry sequence (even if door open) and throughout this first interval as a display test. NOTE 3. Thermistor (Temperature Sensor) checks: Turn clean LED on if thermistor is in its normal temperature range 17° C - 71° C (62° F - 160° F) NOTE 4. Heater Relay must lag Motor Relay by 1.5 seconds at startup of Heated Wash Intervals to avoid simultaneous heater and motor in-rush current.
