My freezer defrosted. The fan was working, but no compressor. I looked at the 12 hour timer and it was not stopped at the mark. I turned the timer to the start position and the compressor kicked in. Is the timer the culprit?

Here are your parts
Parts for Frigidaire LFFU1766GW1 Freezer - AppliancePartsPros.com

Here is the wiring diagram
http://manuals.frigidaire.com/p...df/StCloud/297010001.pdf

This is weird as the wiring diagram shows that fan is wired in parallel with the compressor so when the fan is on the compressor should be on.

I would check the voltage across the compressor to see if it is 120 volts.
