My freezer fan was making some noise so I had a tech come out and they said it was evap fan motor. So they replaced that and now its making a loud rattling noise!!!! What could that be? Is it the actual fan blades? What can I do to check the problem? I can't sleep - its all I can hear :(

It could be that the fan blades have slipped on the motor shaft and is now hitting something.

You will have to open up the evaporator cover to see what is going on.

Thanks! is it possible that the fan blades are broken? I ask because when the repair guy was here it sounded great, but an hour after he left is when the noise started...and this is the second time. Since the fridge is working hard after everything is put back in - could it be that the blades are slipping off the shaft after an hour?

Are you able to explain when the condensor fan comes on vs the evaporator fan? The rattle noise seems to be coming from the back, but I'm thinking maybe the repair guy didn't tighten the carboard cover well? The rattle noise seems to come on when the fridge needs to be cooled...I'm guessing that's the condensor fan? Or would that be the evaporator fan inside the freezer? Any help on when the fans come on during the cycle is appreciated.

I would need the model number to try and figure out when the fans come on.
Find your model number - AppliancePartsPros.com

On most units the condenser/compressor fan comes on whenever the compressor comes on.
On many units the evaporator fan also does this.

Since checking the rear cover and condenser fan is probably the easiest I would start with them.
