Hi, my ice maker stopped making ice (checked fill tube for freezing, still calls for water on normal cycle) and the water disp. still works. the tubing from the valve to the ice maker (1/4 inch I believe?) was completely cracked and seperated about 3 inches from the valve. I'm wondering if I need to replace the whole tube or can I use a 1/4" connector and a short length of 1/4 tubing to repair? Also curious why I didn't get huge puddles of water when the ice maker called for water and the tube was broken? Could mean the valve is bad too I think but any advice would be appreciated.
