I had this repaired for the same thing last June. The repairman went underneath tub from front and jiggled something with a screw driver, maybe advanced a gear? and it's worked fine since then. The timer is new. I would like to know what he did so I could do it and not spend another $65 for a 30 second fix.

I resolved the problem by removing front panel and pulling the main belt to rotate the gears....pretty easy. The washer is working fine. It may not be the ultimate fix but at least I'm not stuck with a washer full of clothes and sudsy water! P.S.......sorry this got posted under "Ovens....", thought I put it in the right category!
