Good morning,

The cold water valve on my GE Adora front loading washer, model whdvh626fww, is stuck in the open position. I've run cycles and power cycled the machine and run another cycle, and the valve is still stuck open. Any thoughts what the problem might be before I tear it down?

Go ahead and replace it. Even if you get it working it may stick in the open position again and it may happen at a very inopportune time.

Don't risk big problems, go ahead and replace it and be done with it. Our motto, do it right and do it once.
