I took the front off the dryer to clean out the dryer vent tube and related parts. When I removed the thermostat cover it fell across one of the cut off T pigtails and the dryer cabinet. Since I had forgotten to unplug the dryer, (I know, two college degrees, much electrical experience, etc.), it arced and melted part of the cover and the Cut Off T slide on connector. After unplugging the dryer and cleaning the parts I needed to clean, I reassembled the dryer, reconnected the Cut Off T, and tried to start it. It does not run. I checked continuity across the Cut Off T and had none. I figure the Cut Off T needs to be replaced. When watching the repair video, it said that the Cut Off T needs to be replaced if the dryer runs and does not heat. Mine won't start. Any suggestions on how to get me up and running again. I learned another valuable lesson today and hope you can help me get my dryer to run. I want to order all the parts needed at the same time. Thanks...

Here are your parts Parts for Maytag LDE9306ACE - AppliancePartsPros.com It includes a wiring layout. Here is a link to a service manual. It has a wiring diagram. You will have to join the site to be able to download the manual. http://appliancejunk.com...ownloads;sa=view;down=53This dryer is wired differently than most. The thermal cut-off (thermal fuse - heater) and the thermal fuse (blower) are both wired into the motor circuit. Could be that the cut-off is your only problem Though I would check the blower fuse just to be sure it is OK. |
