The normal light on my Whirlpool gold dishwasher flashes steadily and the machine will not run. If I press the rinse and cancel buttons they will flash, as well. If I turn the power off for a minute and back on, the machine will start to run water but after about three seconds will stop and the normal light will start flashing again but the machine will not run. I have replaced the thermal fuse, and checked the microsensors on the door latch. I have been told the problem is likely the control board, but I hesitate putting $150 into it without knowing for sure that is the problem. Any help is appreciated.

Check all your connections between your main board and touchpad and check the main board connections really good see if you see any burn marks, whirlpool harnesses are known for burning or breaking and when you got the thermal fuse kit did you use the wire that was included with it? You must there's a reason why they gave it to you.............Clean the touchpad ribbon connector going to main board and try your unit after that.........if that doesn't solve the problem i'd recommend a new control board also if you order it from this site and it's not the right part you can send it back.
You gave the wrong model of your unit look inside the door or on the door for the correct model and search this site for your parts.
