heating element burned out, replaced along with new high thermal limiter. During the second load, dryer got extremely hot and unplugged the unit. New Thermal thermostat shows no continuity and the two orange wires which connect to this thermostat shows no continuity also. Even connecting these wires together for a quick check still will not start. No Dust or lint in exhaust, motor spins freely. The cycling thermostat is normally closed, but if it is faulty and remains open would this prevent the motor from running. Have not tried connecting the motor directly but it turns by hand very freely. On Off switch checked aokay for continuity. Would the dryer run if no heat and delicate cycle is selected. Drum turns okay. Will not run with drum removed. Has the control board possibly been fried from the heat. Safety switch checked okay. Cannot locate a repair manual. Thanks any advice greatly appreciated.

Your op thermostat should read infinity on one set and low resistance on the other, otherwise it's bad.
