Friend has a whirlpool quiet partner II model du1100xtq1 and it won't start. Hitting the Chanel button will cause It to drain. Non of the other buttons are responsive except for pots & pans which lil turn on the light for pots & pans and the heated dry light as well but will not start. The dell start button works and you can cycle through the delay start but it lil not start. So Basically the only buttons that work are the pots & pans, cancel, and delay start. This happened just out of the blue one day went to go run a load and viola nothing worked.

Pull the touchpad out and clean the terminal ribbon and reconnect. If the other buttons work then you solved the problem. If not you probably have a touchpad issue that needs replacement. Also take into consideration that may not be your only problem you may have to replace the main board also if that doesn't fix your problem because they work in pairs.
