Is there any way to clean the male connector pins on the control board? I can not get the time remaining display to illuminate fully. I have replaced the control panel twice. It does not appear to be making a full connection between the ribbon from the control panel to to connector pins on the control board. The led display will light up fully if the connection is held in place firmly.

Get yourself a can of electronic contact cleaner.
Unplug/ emove power from the unit.
Disconnect the cable.
Then sprat some cleaner onto the pins and use a toothbrush.
Be gentle.

Be sure that all the solvent vapors have dissipated before reconnecting.

Isopropyl alcohol also works.

You may want to check the pin's solder connections.
If you can see the solder side of the board gently wiggle the pin while watching the solder side. If it moves then there is a problem. A magnifying glass comes in handy hear.
Cold solder joints are often a duller silver color and/or may have pin holes.

Also check the ribbon cable for hair line cracks across the conductors.
