Don't really know the age. But anyway it seems all the other panel buttons light up but when I push the start button nothing happens. It does not light up either. I have checked the door switch and the overfull float switch and both test good with my meter. What else should I check? Could this be the control board or switch panal?

If both door lock switches & float switch are good and the thermal fuse is fine thoroughly inspect all connections at main board and clean the touch pad ribbon and reconnect it. I'd suspect the touchpad just because the "start/cancel" button is the most common thing used and gets worn out easily through time. It's a 50/50 chance it's either the touchpad or the main control in most cases with your problem but i'd go for the touchpad first considering your comments. Order the part from this site and if it doesn't work you can return it.

Where would the"other" door switch be? I only seen one at the top center. Also where would the thermal fuse be and would it kill all power to the panel if it was blown? Thanks in advance!

Most of all door locks have 2 switches one for the hot and one for the neutral check both for continuity. The thermal fuse is on the main board. And yes a blown thermal fuse will kill the power to the unit continuity test that also. here's a video to help
