I have an Estate by Whirlpool Washer. When it gets to the spin cycle sometimes it will spin and sometimes it won't. it will drain but just won't spin. I have turned the knob to other wash cycles and sometimes the washer will spin and sometimes it won't spin during those cycles. Could this be something in the knob or something else?

the model # is taws700rq1 and the serial # is cs2125923

After draining, the motor must pause for a few seconds and then restart at which point it should spin while continuing to drain. If it doesn't pause after draining, lift the lid for a few seconds and close again to pause the motor and see if it spins then. If that works, you have a bad timer, otherwise other issues.
