My whirlpool refrigerator stopped getting cold last week. So I read a few posts and determined it was most likely the starter. My fan was still working and everything else seemed fine. I received the new starter today, installed it correctly, and it started up and started to cool. I waited ten minutes, checked on the fridge again, and now the fan is not working along with the compressor. What the heck? I checked the starter and it is not rattling and seems fine and even the compressor was working at first cooling the system down. I am now at a point where I am stuck. Do I replace the fan? Is it a control module? Help please!!!

How long have you waited for the unit to start cooling again?
Could be that the unit has just gone into a defrost cycle.
Should be over in about half an hour.
