The pots and pans light is flashing on the control panel. Will not reset with any code combos. I disconnected the ribbon contact from the control panel, and restored power to the unit. I did not get a response from the unit(the drain cycle did not start).
Which part is bad, the control panel or the control board?
Is it even worth repairing given the age of the unit?

Thanks

I am in the throes of a similar issue and asked myself whether it was worth the time and money to fix. After considering the reviews of recently made dishwashers vs. price, I decided that it is, absolutely, worth fixing. There are a lot of issues with new lower-priced dishwashers that manufacturers create to upsell you to more-expensive models. For the $150 it costs to replace the board or the panel, I'm going for it.

BTW, Appliance Parts Pros will allow you to return a part if it doesn't fix your problem. I tried replacing the board to fix a different "flashing light" problem; they're allowing me to return the board and I'm ordering a replacement control panel. APP is a great company to work with. Their online chat helpers are great!
