Have a Kitchenaid diswasher (model KUDK02CRBS3) that is running too long, 3+ hours, and does not finish cycle. With my limited troubleshooting knowledge, I changed the Hi-limit thermostat, tested heating element, rest of mechanical components, and they are all fine, no luck. The only part yet to be checked/replace is the control board. But before I jump into that expense, I'm wondering if you can suggest any other component I should troubleshoot. Thanks in advance for the help.

Keep in mind that some modes on these so called "energy efficient" units can take up to 3 hours normally depending on the cycle check your manual for cycle times. These units have an optical sensor on the right of the unit typically with a bunch of yellow wires going to it which can cause similar problems your expressing and not cleaning the dishes good is another symptom this does as well. Kitchen aids are infamous for main board and touchpad problems i've done at least 5 main boards in the past 3 weeks. Good luck
