Took a blow dryer on cool setting to the switch and bulb section in case of condensation and put the bulb back in and it worked again. After the freezer section got cold again, the light stopped working again. As long as the dial is set to 0 in the freezer section the light stays on, but when set to the mid-range after a while the light stops working again.

If it is a standard incandescent bulb then try the following. Unplug the unit. Remove the bulb. Look into the receptacle and you will see the center connector for the bulb. Bend that up a bit. Be gentle as they can snap off easily also be sure that you do not bend it over to the side. Also check that the connector is clean.

Did you try a different bulb? If you have the I would check/replace the light switch.
