In repairing a busted latch assembly, I have somehow made our dishwasher not work.

I have power. I can get the first water flow in, and then a low clicking sound, maybe 3 times, then shuts off. I then press the START/cancel button to drain the basin, but cannot make it engage in the cleaning.

Is it possible my connections were done incorrectly? One prong on the assembly on each side is straight, one curved, and I'm wondering if I put them in wrong. Would I have a display panel working if power was wrong? The latch doesn't make a big "CLICK" when closed, does anyone have an idea?

Ok, just opened it up, again, reversed one prong and no change. The lock is making a more satisfying CLICK sound but wash still will not engage.

Clearly an issue with some internal "is it really sealed?" check and insanely irritating.

The door switch does matter on how it is one side is to cut the nuetrals and the other is to cut the hot leading to the board. Door latch switches are common for going out or even not working when the door is misaligned. Check continuity in your door switches. Make sure your door is closing properly and aligned. Check the main board fuse. Check your wiring schematic under bottom or front panel and make sure you have 120V going out of the main board towards the sump pump. Also check the sump pump for blockage or objects that could be blocking it functioning.
