Dishwasher is humming but will not start. When cycle put to short wash - water does come in. There are posts about moving motor blades - but for the live of me - can't see any blades only the motor housing. Any ideas?

Disassemble the base of the unit from the inside and see if you have anything lodged in the sump or drain pump. You may have to pull dishwasher out from cabinet to check these components then go from there. Check the sump pump after it fills and see if you have 120v going to sump pump. Also check to see if your model has a diverter and if so make sure your diverter stops and doesn't constantly hum the whole time like it's trying to work.
