The dryer will not start when the start button is pressed. The timer appears to start. I have not checked the belt. I assume it is ok as no sound is coming from the motor. Could the belt be broken and the motor so quite it can't be heard or felt?

Thanks

Check to start button for continuity and voltage should have 120v going in on one side and out the other side when you press the button. Next step is check the door switch for continuity. If this unit has a belt switch check that for continuity also. Then check the motor to make sure you have voltage at the motor. Check the tech sheet inside unit for path leading to motor also just in case you have anything else in line before the motor.
