So my Amana Central Air unit when kaput last night.

I can manually spin up the fan, but it won't spin up on its own. It also won't blow cold air. I am thinking the culprit is the capacitor.

Most likely it is your capacitor. Be extremely careful when replacing a capacitor as they store voltage and will shock you if you touch the terminals. I recommend for you to call a licensed electrician to replace the capacitor if you are not familiar with how to change one.
