The washer will do a complete cycle for regular clothes under the quick or permanent press cycle, but not for towels.
I tried one load of clothes and throwing in one towel and it will not do the spin cycle. Take out the single towel and it will do it.

This would seem to be a weight problem, since the machine doesn't know it has a towel in it.

I would first check out the drain pump and lines, something may be clogging in there. Also use the tech notes inside the lower service panel to check the door lock assembly and speed control board.

This is somewhat of a mystery, and you will just to check a lot of stuff, do some cleaning out and hope that fixes things.
