My Maytag Washer won't agitate. It goes through it's normal cycles: The water fills, timer advances through the wash and rinse cycles, water spins out and stops. Everything seems to work, BUT NO AGITATION. (It does "agitate" for a few seconds during the pre-soak soak. I assume this is normal to mix the soap, water & close up. True?)

I have a wiring diagram. What relays should be closed during agitation? Where should I check for voltage when it should be agitating. (I'm thinking there is a problem with the timer contacts, but I don't want to spend $100 on it, if it's not the timer.)

THANKS!

Never mind. I bit the bullet and bought a new timer. PROBLEM SOLVED. It was a bad (worn out) timer.
