After the first load the dryer runs very hot. I cleaned out all lint, replaced the vent to the outside, tested the thermister and th ethermostate at teh top of the heating pipe. A parts store checked the ohm reading on these and compared them to new ones, they read the same. Is this is good test? I tested the thermostat at the bottom of the heating pipe or tube. I warmed it in a sjillet and verified it opens and closes. I also checked the heating coli. tested ohms on both legs, there was a reaading. then i tested each leg to the tube and had no reading. Visually inspected to see if anything got in there. Any suggestions for next steps. I am trying to take care of this and avoid costly repair visit or new purcahse. ANy help is much appreciated.

Can anyone comment on whether the test of the other parts can be relied on or can they be suspect and the best thing is to replace them. Also, if i put the temperature on air only, while its running i can see the heating coil glow dissappear. and then it comes back on when i raise the temperature. Can the other parts mentioned above be tested while the dryer is operating? to see if they are working or is that a really dumb idea? Also, sorry for the sloppy typing....
