I get shocked by dryer when I touch a scratch on it that's down to metal, only when I try to load the wet clothes from washer.. If I touch wet clothes and touch that scratch on dryer it lightly shocks me...Why, should I be worried???HELP????:eek:

Is it a 3 wire or 4 wire hookup? |

I am assuming that it is an electrical shock and not just a static shock. Your frame is probably not grounded. On a 3 wire hookup the Neutral (white) is also used as the ground. There is usually a wire that goes from the terminal strips center terminal to the frame. Your machine frame is live and should not be so it may pop the breaker when you get the grounding connected properly. The most likely cause of this would be a grounded element.
